Why Darwin Uses Numbers For Sizing
Darwin chose numbers for sizing to create consistency. We can all attest that sizing is not consistent across the board while shopping. You may be a medium build but have to purchase a large or extra large to properly fit. This creates an awkward fit for the rest of the body. Instead, Darwin wants you to start with a clean slate. Think of the number system based on height. Below you will find a size chart that presents the expectations on how each shirt will fit.
For example: "Size 1" is based off a body frame of someone who is between the heights of 5'7" and 5'9" with a chest of either 38, 39 or 40. In terms of neck size and sleeve length, you have the ability to choose your exact measurements. This is how Darwin provides an off the rack body size with your choice of neck and sleeve measurements.
